ARTIST STATEMENTS
Kristen Ambrosi
Art as Anchor is a collection of work birthed through the waters of challenge and change. A softly-cupped palm makes the same gesture to receive as to extend, and my paintings are each a palm, reflecting a gentle willingness to meet ever-changing individual and collective realities, to integrate the lessons, and to offer back the sacred nourishment of wholeness and meaning.

For Art as Anchor, my sculptures reflect the duality of stability and flux in our lives. They are constructed as both grounding elements and reminders that even the heaviest burdens can shape new perspectives. Each piece challenges the viewer to find balance in stillness and strength in vulnerability, much like the anchors we carry within ourselves.
